working on a piece with motiroti for their whatcounts project - here's a sneak preview. It's a poetic film about the migration of numbers and people who become numbers....

refugee week
it's refugee week as well as referee week. i just took a practice british citizenship test and failed. i got 46%, not sure what the pass mark is. do i get a free air ticket out ? for better or for worse i was born and raised in these isles by people who were also born here. if enough people who were born and raised here do the test and fail, does that by definition mean that the test is wrong, or what? can we refuse to grant it leave to stay in our national consciousness? forcibly send it back to quango quango land?...
try it, it's utter crap

Border Crossings
I'm researching a game idea this week, courtesy of a National Theatre Wales seed commission. The core idea involves escaping across the border from England into Wales. Gotta watch out for those Welsh customs and immigration officers though. Part guerrilla theatre, part gaming experience. I love how research changes the way I see the world, particularly when it changes the things I'm surrounded by all the time. And what I find out about people I already know. Off to London in the morning to meet with various folks at BAC, then spend some time on the train between Bristol and Cardiff. And it's sunny!
